What Is Your Favorite TV Program?

when the sopranos was on, i religiously watched that show every sunday night.

Friends, Study Partners, and then GONE...
by ptucker8357 inabout a year and 12 ago, after much conversation with a jw co-worker, we began a formal study.
we studied religiously (no pun intended) almost every week unless i was on business travel or there was a sickness or other item that precluded us from getting together.. .
during that process, we became very strong, close friends... at least that is what i thought was happening.

I had almost the same experience as you did. I was studying for over a year and even became an unbaptisted publisher and thought the lady I was studying with was my friend and then bam I was dropped when I didn't hurry to get baptisted like she(or higher ups) thought I should. It is very hurtful and I feel your pain but be glad you learned this before becoming a JW. I haven't been near or talked to this lady for about 4 plus months and she has called a few times and I let the answering machine pick it up and don't return her call.I think we can just consider we had a close call with a cult and were lucky.The pain will go away and remember it is nothing that you did just a JW thing.

My "Disassociation Trio"
by DT inat about the time i learned the truth about the "truth" and disassociated, i started to compose a trio for piano, violin and cello.
it served as both a distraction and an outlet for my emotions at the time.
i finished two movements and was working on a third that eventually evolved into an entirely separate piece.

What lovely music I enjoyed it so much and hope someday you will be able to do the third movement. You were blessed with some wonderful talent. I have none but love all music and classical most of all.

funniest things to do in the new world
by siy inwhat were some of the funniest things you heard a witness say he or she would like to do in the new word?.
the wife of the brother i studyed with said " in the new world im going to get a porpoise to teach me to swim.
of course i think a porpoise will have better things to do (like avoiding great whites) a than teach non swimmers to swim.. another sister some 20 years ago thought it best if she & her 2 small girls should have horse riding lessons to.

This one really threw me. Was on way to a convention(waste of time)anyway one of the sisters said in the New System her uterus would be back(she had it out in her 30;s)and she planned on having lots more children. This lady is 60. I was in shock and it was one of the things that made me start to think these people are NUTS!!!!!!!!!!!

I Have To Touch It...Saddest Thing I've heard in a Long Time
by Tired of the Hypocrisy ini think i posted on here that i went to the memorial last week.
my wife's dad has been a jw for over 50 years and has never missed a memorial before.
he has been getting sicker and sicker and his wife the star pioneer still does nothing for him.

That is heart breaking to read so to actually be there with the poor man had to be hell.It isn't just JW's my grandmother was a life long catholic and she was dying but held on till the priest got there to give her last rites then as soon as she got them them she just gave in and died.But I do agree the the JW's are a heartless cult.
Do the JW's visit your FIL at home???Or is it out of sight out of mind???

I think I will go. Last year and year before I was studying so this year I can go and use my brain plus will make JW family happy and will be so full etc that I shouldn't get bothered as another congreation has the hall right after so quick out.Oh yes on Easter I am going to my old church(haven't been there for 14yrs Lutheran)just because. And can compare as I have no plans to go to either after that.Maybe watch some religious shows that afternoon(kidding)and just O D on religion!!!!!!!!!!!!

A very good video series on why the Jehovah's Witnesses are so illicitly corrupt of an organization
by Homerovah the Almighty inthis video series on you-tube is one of the better ones explaining the decisive corruption of the organization.
and how people are treated by the organization when they are just simply seeking the truth.. its bit long winded at times but the speakers get directly to the point and makes things quite clear.. the people commenting are all ex-jws of course but they were very close to the higher levels of the organization.. have a watch and listen and see what you think for yourself.......hta.
